About the Role

Job Description

Function: Software Engineering → QA / SDET

Technologies: Automation Testing, Manual Testing, Mobile Apps Testing, Performance Testing, SDET, JavaScript, JMeter, Python, Selenium, SoapUI



Responsibilities:

  1. Frontend and Backend Functional Testing: Conduct in-depth functional testing of both frontend and backend components to ensure end-to-end validation of features, workflows, and business processes.
  2. Test Case Design: Create detailed, reusable, and structured test cases covering all aspects of functionality, including edge cases and error scenarios.
  3. API Testing: Perform comprehensive API testing using tools like Postman, REST-assured, or SoapUI, ensuring robust validation of endpoints, data exchanges, and performance metrics.
  4. Automation of Test Suites: Build and maintain automated test scripts for frontend, backend, and API testing to enhance efficiency and coverage.
  5. Performance Testing (Preferred): Utilize tools like JMeter or Gatling for load and performance testing, identifying system bottlenecks, and ensuring stability under stress.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless continuous integration and delivery practices.
  7. Document and report test results, providing actionable insights to support rapid defect resolution.


Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. 4-6 years of experience in quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on functional testing of both frontend and backend systems.
  3. Proficiency in test case design and execution for complex systems.
  4. Expertise in testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, Postman, or REST-assured.
  5. Solid understanding of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI for test integration in pipelines.
  6. Proactive learner with a continuous improvement mindset to stay updated on the latest testing tools and practices.


Good-to-Have Skills:

  1. Automation and Coding Background: Proficiency in JavaScript, Python, or similar languages to develop and maintain robust automation frameworks.
  2. Performance Testing: Experience with performance testing tools and methodologies is a plus.
  3. Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaboration tools for maintaining test assets and ensuring consistency.
