Join the team redefining how the world experiences design. Hey, g'day, namaste, kia ora, 你好, hallo, vítejte! Ready to make meaningful impact? You're in the right place. Thanks for stopping by. We know job hunting can be a little time consuming and you're probably keen to find out what's on offer, so we'll get straight to the point. Every role supporting Canva contributes to something bigger. Here's what this contract opportunity involves and what we're looking for.
This is a 12-month independent contractor opportunity, where you'll provide services within a defined scope, with the flexibility to shape how you deliver your impact. Designed for a hybrid way of working, this opportunity is remote and open to candidates based anywhere in India, so you can align on key touchpoints with our internal team and our education partners across the country. While it'd be up to you to manage your time, the expected time commitment to deliver these services is approximately 40 hours per week.
We're the Canva Education team in India, working to bring creativity, collaboration, and visual communication into classrooms across the country. We partner with state governments, national education bodies, and large school networks to make Canva a safe, inclusive platform for teaching and learning — from rural districts to city schools — always aligned with India's priorities like NEP 2020, foundational learning, and digital equity. AI is an accelerant to our mission to empower the world to design. We're embracing it as a powerful tool to help us move faster, spark ideas, streamline work, and unlock creativity. We're genuinely curious about how people are thinking about and experimenting with new technologies to amplify impact, so you can expect it to come up in conversation during the interview process.
As Canva Education continues to grow, change is part of how we move forward. That means the services you'll provide may evolve, and we'd discuss that with you from time to time. Right now, most schools and school systems find the technical side of getting started harder than it should be — Single Sign-On, domain verification, and connecting their Google or Microsoft backends can take far longer than anyone would like, and State partnerships often run across several different authentication pathways at once. You'll be the person who makes all of that smooth.
You're probably a match if you've supported SSO, SAML/OAuth, or identity and access setups before, and you can explain how they work to non-technical people without losing them. You know your way around Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 / Entra ID administration, including domain verification, provisioning, and directory sync. You've spent at least 3 years in technical support, implementation, or solutions roles — ideally supporting schools, government systems, or large organizations. You stay calm and methodical when an integration breaks, and you're happy owning a problem until it's genuinely fixed. You communicate clearly in English and Hindi, both in writing and on calls. You're comfortable juggling multiple school systems, timelines, and stakeholders at once, and you flag risks early with a plan to fix them.
