Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Project Engineer role based in Kolkata. The Mechanical Project Engineer will oversee the design, engineering, and execution of projects related to steam boilers, heat exchangers, pollution control systems, and conveying equipment. Responsibilities include reviewing technical specifications, preparing and checking engineering drawings, coordinating with design and production teams, and ensuring that projects meet safety, quality, and performance standards. The role involves project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting, as well as close collaboration with vendors, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues. The engineer will also support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities at customer sites when required.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including knowledge of thermal systems, pressure vessels, and industrial equipment. Candidates should possess Project Engineering and Project Management skills to plan, execute, and monitor mechanical projects from concept to completion. Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for preparing, reviewing, and optimizing mechanical drawings and layouts. Candidates should possess understanding of Mechanical Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems for integrated industrial and utility installations. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution. Experience in boiler, heat exchanger, or heavy industrial equipment projects is preferred. Ability to interpret engineering codes and standards, and apply safety and quality practices in design and execution. Effective communication, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work in an on-site industrial environment.
