SanchiConnect is building a connected ecosystem for startups, investors, mentors, enterprises and innovation stakeholders. Our DeepTech Community brings together startups and ecosystem players to create meaningful opportunities around funding, mentorship, pilots, partnerships and market access. We already have the community, the platform and the network. Now we want to make it bigger, more active and more valuable.

The Role: We are looking for a Community Lead – Startup & Investor Ecosystem who can take ownership of growing and activating the SanchiConnect community. This is not a social media management role. We are looking for someone who understands startups, loves building relationships and knows how to turn a network of people into an engaged ecosystem. You will work closely with the SanchiConnect leadership team to grow engagement across founders, investors, mentors and enterprises and create meaningful connections between them.

What you will do?

• Grow the Community: Identify and onboard high-quality startups, founders, investors, mentors and enterprises. Build relationships with startup ecosystem organisations, incubators, accelerators and founder communities. Drive community growth through referrals, partnerships, events and ecosystem outreach. Help build a strong network of community ambassadors and ecosystem champions.
• Activate the Existing Community: Get existing members to participate rather than simply remain registered. Create founder, investor and mentor engagement formats. Run AMAs, founder circles, investor interactions, office hours and curated networking sessions. Improve member onboarding, activation and retention. Keep the community consistently active and relevant.
• Build Investor & Mentor Relationships: Identify and engage VCs, angel investors, family offices, mentors and industry experts. Understand their investment interests and areas of expertise. Bring relevant investors and mentors into the SanchiConnect ecosystem. Create meaningful interactions between them and startups.
• Create Opportunities for Startups: Understand what startups in the community need. Connect them with relevant investors, mentors, corporates and customers. Identify opportunities for funding, pilots, partnerships and market access. Track the outcomes generated through these connections.
• Own the Online Community: Manage the day-to-day community experience across the SanchiConnect platform and digital channels. Create community campaigns and engagement calendars. Monitor activity and proactively engage members. Work with the product team to improve the community experience. Use community data to understand what is working and what isn't.
• Build Community Programs: Create recurring founder, investor and mentor programs. Organise roundtables, meet-ups, AMAs and ecosystem interactions. Build formats that can be repeated and scaled. Work with the Programs and GTM teams to turn community engagement into business and ecosystem opportunities.

Who we are looking for?

• 2–4 years of experience in one or more of: Startup ecosystem / community building, Founder relations, Investor relations, Incubators / accelerators, Startup programs, Partnerships, Community-led growth, Events and ecosystem engagement
• You should have: A decent understanding of the Indian startup ecosystem. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. The confidence to speak with founders, investors and senior ecosystem stakeholders. The ability to proactively reach out, build relationships and get things moving. Strong execution and follow-through. Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment. Curiosity about startups, technology, investing and innovation.
• We are looking for people who: Know the difference between 10,000 members and 1,000 genuinely engaged members. Enjoy meeting new people and building relationships. Can turn a WhatsApp conversation into a founder introduction, an investor conversation or a business opportunity. Naturally connect people who should know each other. Don't wait for someone to tell them what to do. Are comfortable picking up the phone, sending the message and starting the conversation. Can move between strategy and execution without much hand-holding. Think about community as a network, not a database.
• Not a fit: Pure social media, content marketing, event management or generic customer success profiles without startup ecosystem experience.
