About the Role

As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be a technical pillar within our product team, driving the development of complex insurance features that fuel our national-scale growth. We are looking for a seasoned engineer with 4–6 years of experience who can bridge the gap between high-level architecture and hands-on execution. You will mentor junior developers, collaborate with product managers, and ensure our systems are resilient enough to handle millions of lives.

What You Will Do

Lead Technical Development: Drive the design and implementation of scalable backend services for diverse insurance products.

Architect Scalable Systems: Apply advanced software architecture and design principles to build robust, maintainable systems.

Expert Coding & Code Quality: Provide hands-on expertise in Python and Django, ensuring best practices in debugging and performance optimization.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with product and quality teams to translate business requirements into technical reality.

Infrastructure & Deployment: Oversee the deployment of applications on cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS.

Mentorship: Act as a technical guide for junior engineers, fostering a culture of high ownership and speed.

What We Are Looking For

Experience: 4–6 years of experience in product-based organizations, with a proven track record in backend engineering.

Core Tech Stack: Expert proficiency in Python and Django (or similar frameworks) and SQL databases.

Insurtech Advantage: Deep understanding of the insurance value chain or fintech ecosystems is highly preferred.

Distributed Systems: Strong exposure to Microservices architecture and asynchronous processing.

Advanced Tools: Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, Elastic Search, Kafka, and Celery.

DevOps/VCS: Mastery of GIT and working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines on AWS.

Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills and a \"team-first\" mentality.
