About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Account Manager (Post-Contract) to manage and grow active US Public Sector accounts across SLED (State, Local, Education) and Federal agencies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing awarded government contracts, handling task orders, coordinating with internal recruitment teams, and maintaining strong relationships with government stakeholders, system integrators, and prime contractors. This role focuses on post-award account management, contract utilization, stakeholder engagement, and internal team coordination to ensure successful contract execution, client satisfaction, and long-term account growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage active and awarded US public sector contracts.
  • Function as the primary Account Manager for assigned SLED and Federal accounts.
  • Handle task orders and coordinate execution in alignment with contract terms.
  • Act as the primary point of contact (POC) for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Translate client requirements into actionable hiring needs for recruitment teams.
  • Cultivate and strengthen existing government account relationships.
  • Conduct regular client interactions, including in-person meetings where required.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts.
  • Enhance consultant engagement and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Oversee MSA, NDA, and other contractual compliance requirements.
  • Ensure proper contract utilization and alignment with agreed utilization plans.
  • Manage vendor and subcontractor relationships as per contract structure.
Government Stakeholder Engagement
  • Maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in: System Integrators, Prime Contractors, SLED Agencies, Federal Agencies.
  • Understand agency goals, funding structures, and operational needs.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and government networking sessions.
  • Strengthen visibility and positioning within targeted agencies.
  • Support long-term strategic engagement across key government accounts.
Vendor & Set-Aside Management
  • Manage vendor utilization strategies aligned with contract requirements.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and application of: Small Business set-asides, Minority-Owned Business programs, Women-Owned Business programs.
  • Ensure compliance with subcontracting plans and participation goals.
  • Work closely with subcontractors to ensure smooth contract delivery.
Internal Team Coordination & Leadership
  • Coordinate closely with recruitment teams to ensure timely fulfilment of task orders.
  • Provide guidance and support on government contract requirements to internal teams.
  • Support performance evaluations for aligned team members.
  • Coordinate and support training initiatives related to recruitment, RFP, and capture processes.
  • Participate in self-development and lead knowledge-sharing sessions for teams.
  • Oversee development of structured account plans for key Federal and SLED agencies.
  • Ensure teams identify and maintain relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and end-users within assigned accounts.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Prior hands-on experience managing active US Public-sector (SLED/Federal) contracts.
  • Experience working with dedicated government accounts.
  • Strong understanding of post-award contract lifecycle management.
  • Experience handling task orders and customer POCs.
  • Strong coordination experience with recruitment/delivery teams.
  • Knowledge of government procurement structures and contract compliance.
  • Experience managing vendor and subcontractor relationships.
  • Familiarity with state clients (e.g., California state agencies such as Sacramento, Santa Clara, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of contract utilization plans and set-aside programs.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams.
Preferred / Good to Have
  • Experience working with System Integrators and Prime Contractors.
  • Existing network within SLED or Federal agencies.
