About the Role

The Tender Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process for defense-related products and solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include identifying relevant tender opportunities (including on GeM and other government procurement portals), analyzing tender documents, preparing compliant and competitive proposals, and coordinating with internal teams such as sales, finance, production, and technical experts. The role involves maintaining accurate tender documentation, ensuring adherence to procurement regulations, and tracking submission deadlines and post-tender clarifications. The Tender Specialist can also support pricing strategies, participate in negotiations where required, and provide regular reports on tender status and outcomes to management.

Qualifications

  • Strong Tender Management and Procurement skills, including experience with government and defense sector tender processes
  • Hands-on experience bidding on GeM (Government e-Marketplace) — including vendor registration, catalog listing, bid participation, and post-award order management
  • Solid analytical skills for reviewing tender requirements, evaluating risks, and preparing cost-effective proposals
  • Effective communication and proposal writing skills to create clear, accurate, and persuasive tender documents
  • Experience preparing and tracking EMDs (Earnest Money Deposits) and performance bank guarantees
  • Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tenders, meet strict deadlines, and maintain thorough records
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Defense Studies, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are an advantage
  • Experience in defense manufacturing or government contracting is highly beneficial
  • Proficiency in MS Office and document management tools, with attention to detail and compliance with regulatory standards
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and work on-site in a structured, process-driven environment
